Our catskiing packages typically include:

• All lift tickets and catskiing transport
• Professional certified mountain guides
• Lodge accommodation (private rooms available)
• All meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
• Safety equipment ( transceiver, shovel, probe)
• Emergency evacuation if needed

The following are not included in our packages: flights to/from Georgia, travel insurance (strongly recommended), ski equipment rental (available on-site), alcoholic beverages, tips/gratuities, and any personal expenses. We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel and ski insurance that covers off-piste skiing.

We offer a flexible cancellation policy: Full refund if cancelled 30+ days before the trip, 50% refund for 15-29 days, and no refund for cancellations less than 14 days before the trip. In case of force majeure (natural disasters, political situations), we'll work with you to reschedule or provide a full refund.

Our catskiing trips are designed for intermediate to advanced skiers and riders. You should be able to comfortably ski red/black runs at resorts. For ski touring adventures, intermediate fitness and some off-piste experience is recommended. Don't worry if you're not an expert - our guides will assess conditions and choose appropriate terrain.

While AST 1 (Avalanche Safety Training Level 1) is not mandatory, it's highly recommended and will enhance your experience. We provide comprehensive safety briefings at the start of each trip and all guests receive training on how to use avalanche safety equipment (transceivers, shovels, probes). We prioritize safety above all else.

Essential equipment:

• Skis or snowboard (freeride/freestyle setup recommended)
• Mountaineering boots or stiff ski boots for touring
• Helmet (mandatory)
• Waterproof gloves (bring extras!)
• Goggles and sunglasses
• Warm layers and merino base layers

Ski rental packages are available on-site for €30-50/day. We provide avalanche safety equipment.

Yes! We have a selection of quality freeride skis, snowboards, and safety equipment available for rent. Ski rental costs €30-50/day depending on equipment type. We recommend booking equipment in advance to ensure availability, especially for popular sizes.

Bakhmaro is located in Adjara region, southwestern Georgia. Options to reach us:

• From Tbilisi: 2.5-3 hour drive, or take a marshrutka (minibus) from Didube Station
• From Batumi: 1.5-2 hour scenic drive through the mountains
• Airport: Fly into Kutaisi (KUT) or Tbilisi (TBS), we can arrange transfers

The prime season is January through March, when we typically see the best powder conditions. February is often peak season with the deepest snowpack. December can be excellent too, though snow levels are more variable. April offers great spring skiing with longer days and more stable conditions. Each month offers a unique experience!

Yes! We can accommodate vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and other dietary requirements. Please let us know at least 1 week before your arrival so our kitchen can prepare accordingly. Georgian cuisine naturally features many vegetarian options, and we're happy to work with your specific needs.

Safety is our top priority. Our guides are certified and experienced in avalanche safety. We provide all necessary safety equipment, conduct daily safety briefings, and make conservative terrain decisions. While no outdoor activity is risk-free, our safety record speaks for itself. We never compromise on safety and will modify or cancel trips if conditions are unsafe.

All guests carry transceivers and our guides are trained in avalanche rescue. We practice beacon searches daily. Our lodge has emergency communication equipment and evacuation plans. We're also registered with local rescue services. While we take every precaution to avoid avalanche terrain during risky periods, having robust response protocols provides peace of mind.

Absolutely! We offer private catskiing trips for groups of 4 or more. Private trips give you flexibility in scheduling, terrain choices, and group composition. Contact us for custom pricing based on your group's size, duration, and specific requirements. We also offer exclusive use of the lodge for larger groups.

Our typical group size is 6-10 guests per day for catskiing, ensuring personalized attention and optimal lift access. For ski touring, groups are typically 4-8 guests. This ratio allows our guides to manage the group effectively and cater to different skill levels. Smaller groups can be arranged for a premium.
